The almond tree is native from South Western Asia, and it is known since the Bronze Age. Its oily seed is an excellent source of fibre, vitamin E and minerals such as magnesium, iron, calcium. Exquisite and highly energetic because of the relevant content, 50%, of mono and polyunsaturated fats, they are the basis of many sweet and salty recipes of Italian regional tradition. Anti-cholesterol and natural antioxidants, almonds are useful in the prevention of various diseases, in addition of ensuring the skin and hair well- being in a natural way.
